    The man I engaged to fix my inverter has left it for six months and now left the inverter in bits inside my van saying he can't finish the job until the weather is good. Does anyone know a mechanic who can put inverters together? Can anyone give advice on this situation. I am elderly disabled and going to pieces. I know where I can get another inverters from a vehicle being scrapped but don't know any other mechanics who can deal with inverters. Desperate Patricia.

    I know they work on inverters but in some posts a couple of months ago there were some comments about hybrid inverters with other companies dealing both with this one and another but I can#t find the posts now to re-read them.

    Thank you. It is a hybrid and I rather thought the 12V was charged by braking. I.e., there is no alternator. I heard somewhere that it was charged by braking but maybe that is another battery. Grateful for any information.

    My battery is flat. If I start it with jump leads is it necessary to then drive it (alternator?) or can I just compress the brake pedal to charge fully?

    Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have already been waiting, not because of shipping problems but because the local hybrid engineer is so busy.

    Yes, advised not to drive. But it still drives ok. My friend Mark is going to repair it but he is very busy as he is the only licensed hybrid engineer around.

    a good buy but get the electric motor reconditoned and the inverter and cooling pump checked.

    Thank you Michael. Yes, my hybrid expert is going to come and look at it. My mechanic did a diagnostic and said yes, it is the inverter. Do you know where Peter Holland got his inverter?

    My hybrid has always started immediately on just one flick. Suddenly it wouldn't start and making a very loud noise. After abut ten tries it started again and now seem normal but being elderly and disabled I don't want to get caught out again. Any ideas what caused it?

    I have a converted Alphard and it definitely looks low but when I compare it to other vehicles it is much the same. The modern trend seems to be low to the ground. I don't like it as my last camper was a Mitsubishi Delica and that was much higher.

    Does anyone have any experience of taking their Alphard hybrid to Morocco and if so do you know if there are many hybrid mechanics available in case of a break down?

    I am hoping to travel to Morocco in my Alphard hybrid but am not sure what to do if I have a breakdown. Is it true that you cannot tow hybrids, even on back wheels, but must put them on a loader to get them wherever? Also, what small spares to do with the hybrid workings would it be advisable to take?
