hey there guys, i’ve just been looking at my vans auction sheet, and was wondering if anyone could help translate it for me? i cant use google translate one the text that has been hand written, but i want to see the reasonings on why my car is a 3/c

I also found out my car came from a VIP car hire company which is quite cool!

any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi again,

I doubt this is clear enough for anyone to read it !

Some time ago I came across an article (in English) that explained how to read these auction sheets.

I may take me some time to find it, but if I can I'll let you know.

Can you read the body section where it shows and describes the 'faults' marks, dents, etc ?

Hi Charlie,

I just scanned Google for Japanese Auction Sheets, and got several hits that should get you started.

Prestige Motorsport seems a good start.

Hope this helps.

3 is usually repair to the body and C is "average" interior condition (may have couple of marks, scratches etc... nothing serious to be fair).

If your Alphard is coming from USS auctions you may expect a bit lower grading then car sold on other auctions. Grade 3 on USS could be 3.5 or 4 on others.

You can request a report from https://carvx.jp , it will include all car history from Japanese Ministry of Transport including your auction sheet which you can also ask to translate.

Hi Nov, very interesting.

Are you suggesting that the Japanese Ministry will provide the translation. Fantastic, if true, I'll be in contact with them asap.

I would be interested in my service history.

Just to add to nov's entry....

The link works fine. You will need to create an account.

You will need to enter the vehicle code exactly as it is in the vehicle.

My auction sheet has a slightly different syntax; just different enough to stop it working.

Cost of report is 3,500 Yen. About £23 at today's corporate rate.

I'll be buying one for sure.

Translation to the auction sheet is provided by the CarVX... provider of the report. The information on the report itself is coming from Japanese Ministry of Transport + auction. You will see first registration date, inspections date, repair & recall history + details about your auction, when, where, pictures etc.

thanks for all of this.

Yeah i was confused as to why it is a 3/c because i have looked at many 3.5 alphards and this was in better condition than all of those ones

Yes its got a couple scratches and a little dent on the passenger door, but apart from that its mint

It had 60k miles when i got it and is now on 70k (i got it in june!)

i will deffo translate my sheet and send a clearer photo

Thanks

Much better now, Charlie.

Also explains why (USS) why your auction rating was lower than you thought it should have been.

As yours was a USS, maybe mine is too. I am certainly very happy with it.

Only discovered a couple of small surprises.

I would buy again from Naeem, but he seems to have moved more upmarket now. No MZG's left.

I'll try and translate your sheet with the Google app, just because I'm nosy!

I am sure I looked it over just before you bought it.

10k miles already ! I have done less than 1000.

My Maple veneered panels finally arrived !

Hope to start my conversion late next week with wood preparation, then machining.

Some parts becoming difficult to get with the increasing popularity of the Alphies.

I have my hob and sink unit, will maybe wait to buy a fridge as I don't need one now until spring.

Build then bedding !

HAPPY MOTORING. Roger

Mine was a 3.5 C C before Naeem 'tarted' it up !

I am REALLY pleased with it, irrespective of rating.

I have found some very minor niggles that Naeem was cleverly concealing.

I have had a quote to correct the trivial leather marks.

My main disappointment was the keys. The Master key had no 'inards'; which I thought was very 'sneaky'.

All fixed now though.

I am more than satisfied.

I am aware of the Royal Lounge, and the later models, and, frankly, I find the 2005 to 2008 MZG the best of all of them.

Some of the newer models have features, whether you like them or not, that limit the scope for conversion.

IF I was removing the middle seats, that bureau in the Royal Lounge would be VERY desirable.

I will send you photos, privately, when my conversion is completed.

Got any new wheels yet ? Enjoy your Alphie. Rojie

@Rojie Ahhh, yeah ive found some sneaky touch ups too, pretty well done until you get up real close to them

Ive done a couple things to mine to make it a lil bit nicer in terms of condition

Creme carpet is a nightmare to clean though! cant find anything good enough for it

Havent got wheels yet

Won that ebay auction twice but the seller just keeps relisting them

he was first asking for 200

now 450!!

Havent given up yet

Still deciding what i really want, Just cant find any work eurolines!

Deffo not worried about height of the car... Possibly thinking of lowering it???

Mines the 2wd version so not too silly to do, wont be offroading it!

Want it to be a VIP style build so chrome, leather, big wheels and lots of drink in the back!

Yeah that fridge and drink storage would be epic for an mz-g edition!

Might try find an oem one in japan one day ;)

Not really bothered about the leather creases in mine, i quite like it to be honest. Makes the car feel used

Deffo gonna get the bodywork sorted

And get apple car play too!

Good luck with your conversion

Charlie

the 'c' rating for the interior could be artifically low if the car was reviewed prior to a decent valet!
