Hi just thought I would introduce myself just had delivered a 2007 3.0 Alfred campervan conversion love the drive but did a school boy error of applying foot handbrake while moving  luckily only in the drive merry Christmas to you all

Anyone who has not driven an automatic before, you must quickly learn to keep your left foot on the floor (except when parking).

Technically, of course, you should be using the foot brake on inclines, but most autos will hold you still unless a steep gradient.

 

Hitting the main brake instead of the non existent clutch pedal can create lots of 'excitement' for those following you !

These reactions are deeply embedded in our subliminal driving techniques and can be very difficult to overcome.
