Can someone confirm my thinking that the only differences between the two are external front and rear. Other than that everything is interchangeable. My preference is Vellfire styling but don't want to go down a more limited route for parts, servicing and so on.

Yes they are the same.

Be aware that many vehicles are modified in Japan, or even on reaching these shores.

 

Lowering of the vehicles is not uncommon.

A problem ? No, unless you want to raise it again as it can be quite expensive.
