I think you will find that most don't come with alarms, but they do have immobilisers.

I was looking around and the shop recommended one of these Ghost immobiliser like Autowatch. Basically even if they managed to get inside your car with either your physical key or relay code from your key, they won't be able to start it as you need to enter a combination of buttons from the car to deactivate it. As alarm does not actually prevent them from stealing the car, and some can be either bypass or hacked.

It is annoying that the smart key fob cannot be set to sleep mode like my other Toyota fob.

Anyone fitted a Vanolarm system to an Alphard? Uses door handle motion sensor alarms & has a tracker. Ive seen them on some motorhome youtube channels & company web site informative. Grateful if anyone has any experience of using this system.
