Hi all. My 2004 Alphard has a odd switch that I can’t work out what it does. 
mots located on the switch panel to the right of the steering wheel. It’s round and when I press the switch a blue little led illuminates on this switch. 
unlike the other switches this has no label to give an idea of what it is either. 
Any thoughts of what it might be?

Be careful, it may be the ejector seat button ! SORRY.

 

It may be for your rear fog lights.

Activate it and check.

 

Japanese vehicles do not need rear Fog Lights; but UK vehicles do.

 

My guess is that's what it does. Hope so.

Have you identified what your switch does? I have a switch on the left hand side of the steering wheel, it is not labelled and it too illuminates when pressed, (red). It isn’t my fog lamp as that is on the other side?

Which switch position is it located in ?

Do you have any additional driving lights ?

It is the switch on the lower left, please see pic. I have additional driving lights but these are operated from the light stalk.

That's where the TEMS switch would be, if you had TEMS. A electronic suspension system.

 

The problem with these vehicles is that Japanese owners fit all sorts of bells and whistles; them remove them prior to sale !

This leaves wires from nowhere and no easy way to figure it all out.

I have several loose ends in my machine.

 

My wild guess would be some 'entertainment' system. Weird switch too !

If it bothers you too much I guess you could try and purchase a blank switch cover, remove your switch and fit the blank.

Never heard of TEMS before but have now found out about it online. Thanks for the info.
