Hello.

I am filling DVLS form and was wondering what emission you have in your V5s? I have asked around and Alphards 3.5V6 road tax is around £300 per year but if I put 240g/km Co2 the tax would be £600. Would anyone be so kind and check the V5 for the emission details?

Thank You :)

What engine type do you have ?

Do you believe 240g to be correct ?

DVLA will have tax rate / emissions info; but probably not for an Alphard / Vellfire. I'll check.

But it should have a table for 240g.

Bare in mind that your vehicle tax will be based on the year of manufacture, not the year imported / first registered in the UK.

I have a 3L, tax is £280.

I have been reading the V149 form on DVLA, but need to check my understanding of it.

I believe the 3.5L is in the next highest tax band !

Hi Rojie

I was aware of that 1st registration date not import date but even so DVLA band 'I' foe cars 1st registered between 2001-2017 for 240g co emission my tax would be around £600. Other people say they pay £280 so i was wondering how to achieve that :)

I pay £280.

I looked for my V5 yesterday evening; but have not found it yet.

I also checked DVLA, for my vehicle information.

It's all there; but not the emission level !

What class of vehicle or you trying to register it as.

Tax is based on the type of the Vehicle, as per below table.

You may get some discount if you do proper emission test(or run on dual fuel lpg) and provide this data to dvla.

Thanks Nov, you saved me a lot of time.

I did find this, and lots of other stuff that confused me.

In trying to help Kornus, I spent ages waiting for the DVLA.

I discovered I never received my own V5 !!!

Fortunately, the car is registered to me. Phew

Hi Everyone

OMG Thanks very much for all the info. I have been through other JDM forums and this is what confused me. I can register my vellfire under PLG and say to DVLA that the car has never been assessed for emission and that would give me £280 tax band. If i did that for 'petrol car' it would be treated as UK registered car (years between 2001 and 2017) which would give me £585 tax band. Sorted. I will proceed with V55 form and see what happen :)

Thank You again!!!!!!!!!!!
