Garage in South West that deals with T Alphard 2007 Import

Featured Replies

Looking for a garage that can read the diagnostic data on Alphard 2007. Warning light is on and warranty only has one month left. Anyone know of somewhere in the South West that can help please?

Cathy

why not contact your nearest Toyota dealer, they should have trained mechanics (technicians) most dealerships have electronic diagnostic analysers, and should be able to identify the problem after all its only a motorcar🙂

Hello Cathy,

Welcome to the Forum.

If your Alphie is still under warranty, surely you should return it to your seller and have the work done under the warranty.

Having said that, I know many  Toyota dealers are 'huffy' about working on imports.

My local dealer is Snows. They have a larger Toyota dealership in Plymouth.

I'll check see if there is a Toyota dealer in Truro.

There is also a Toyota specialist in Bodmin.

His name escapes me but I can find it if you need it. He should be OK with the engine side of things.

Which warning light is one ? Engine light I assume ?

V6 3.0L or 4 cylinder 2.4L. Hybrid ?

DyerNostics ! Bodmin.

I love the imagination of businesses, particularly in Cornwall. On my travels I was near the Camel Trail in Bodmin and saw a local recovery vehicle sign-written as “Camel Tow”, who promised the best “Tow Job” In Cornwall!

For those who don’t know, the Camel Trail is an 18 mile cycle trail, virtually traffic free and level, that stretches from Bodmin to Padstow, all very picturesque and safe.

I wonder whether the business owner of DyerNostics realises although the name is meaningful and personalised, it is also ambiguous !

Unfortunately we bought it from a garage that only sells and doen not do any mechanics. I spoke to Toyota at Truro anad they said they don't touch imports. 2.4 engine

HI Cathy

I have made an enquiry with Snows Plymouth and they were prepared to work on my 2007 3.0 l V6. I know you are some distance away but it might be worth giving them a ring?

I called the business DyerNostics as my name is Jason Dyer....and I specialise in diagnostic work. In case anyone was wondering 😉

Happy to help ☺️

Hi Cathy

Did you solve the issue and who did you go to please? Am in Redruth with a similar conundrum.

Cheers Dom
