New Head Unit

Recommended Posts

Hi

With regards to my last post about changing the language from Japanese to English. It would appear that the easiest way is to replace the entertainment/head unit itself. Does anyone know where this could be done (if possible)? The camper is a 2006 TOYOTA ALPHARD. Look forward to reading all your comments. Best wishes

Replacing the head unit most definitely is possible; but not necessarily "easy". It can be costly too.

It can be done DIY, but is not, imho, for the faint hearted.

Ben Hau in Birmingham can also provide an upgrade.

His implementation works best with an I Phone.

Android works but provides less functionality.

Try and read up on Head Unit Replacement, there are loads of responses to questions like this; as it is a very common issue.

I'm getting a Pioneer sph-da 160dab fitted to my Gen 2. A local car electrical specialist is doing it. It'll cost around £500 including a reversing camera.

He came to fit it today but unfortunately the facia panel the suppliers had provided was not suitable so has gone away to investigate.
