Hi,

Recently purchased a 2004 Alphard with the electric glass roof in the rear passenger area however it does not open. Has anyone had a similar issue and managed to get a fix for it?

Checked all of the fuses and there all ok it just does not even attempt or sound to move at all in any way.

Any help appreciated

Good Morning Andy,

Welcome to the Forum.

I note you have checked all the fuses.

As a new owner, ,are you aware of all the fuse boxes; there are four.

You are concerned with fuse 1, 30A, in the fuse box behind, and above, the passenger side glove box.

.... and the glove box comes out very easily.

Reading my Owners Manual (search the internet for JPNZ) the sun (Moon) roof will not open if the window lock button has been activated.

Worth checking.

Ignition should be on, preferably with engine running, as there are two switches for the roof it may be worth trying both in various combinations.

Also, if the battery has been disconnected (as they frequently are by the Dealers) the sun roof may need to be reprogrammed !

Although the sun roof is closed (it won't open) press the Close button for at least a second.

If you have wireless door locking, that can also be used to close the sun roof.

Good Luck.
