I have a starting problem - won't turn over - relay clicks but nothing else. New battery, new main fuse. Please can anyone tell me how to get to the starter solenoid to check if the starter works. Can it be accessed from the engine compartment above or underneath the vehicle. 2004 hybrid Alphard Japan import.

Where is the starter motor located on an Alphard hybrid, does anyone know thanks Paul

There is no conventional starter motor on a hybrid. Initial start uses the Hybrid motor within the gearbox, subsequent starts, while driving, uses the starter/generator mounted on the back of the engine driven/driving the serpentine belt.
