Hi all, had a couple of Alphards over the years but thinking of upgrading to a vellfire, bigger engine and look great.

I work away from home and sleep in my vehicle all year round, so i guess my questions are .... are they the same size inside and how much different will it be to drive (had v6 in the past)

Also can you get a vellfire with 4x4 option?

Many thanks in advance!

vellfire and alphard are the same drivetrain and chassis, its just the styling of the lights and bumpers and some trim/colours that differs

Have 3.5 Vellfire 2wd. Lovely drive, effortless motoring. Can be thirsty if pushed, but lots of smiles per gallon!

Really pleased we got this.

Appreciate the replies, the more i look at these cars the more impressed i am, can't wait to test drive a Vellfire when i find one local, seems the 3.5 liter is the way to go as i do most of my driving on the motorway and according to MPG figures i have seen are pretty good for a big beautiful cruiser. I have a peugeot boxer at the moment and i really don't enjoy driving it, nice and big.... too big.

The Alphard drives like the large car that it is, not like a commercial van.

You won't be disappointed.

Vellfire feels great to drive, the feeling is more modern compared to the 10 series.

Both engines are great, 3.5 is what we personally have and love it. Plenty of power but we’ve had plenty of 2.4, they are quite good on fuel and I quite like the cvt gearbox.
