Hi My 2003 alphard has just had cable replaced a few months ago. It closed ok at first but now seems to be only opening 75 percent of the way. Also sometimes it won't open unless I open the passengers door first.Any ideas?

Is there a way of resetting it like the windows maybe?

Do you mind me asking how much cable replacement cost to get and fit? I saw posters on another place suggesting people remove the cable altogether if it breaks, which I thought sounded daft.

I got my cable directly from local toyota dealer (genuine part) and fitted it myself although it took about 4 hours. YouTube videos have some good tips on how to do it. Once cable is broken not much point in removing it! look at this and similar videos.
