Hi wonder if anyone got installed / purchased remote start key for Alphard or Vellfire in UK.

This is usually a dealer optional extra with the cars in Japan.

Normal key, is what Darren has.

I don't believe the Gen 1 supports remote start.

I see, I thought it was post under remote start, so got my hopes high 🙂

I remember them well When I visited Oulu. Was that place cold ?!?

I also lived in the USA (many years ago) where block heaters were common in the Mid West states.

I thought, in the UK, it was illegal to leave an attended vehicle with the engine running?

Good point Chris but this remote start in winter month’s might be usecase only when the car is in one’s driveway(private space). It’s a feature that’s so many cars have so can’t be illegal as long as it is not in public space

I have a Yupiteru DCL82ES fitted to my 2007 V6 AWD. No idea how it works (or what it does 🤷‍♂️). I’m [very] slowly working my way through the 74 page instruction booklet using Google Translate. The vehicle seems to have a variety of aftermarket wiring for technology (including dashcam, satnav and radar detection systems) that has been removed prior to its import from Japan.

why would someone remove the wiring and complicate the matters? Wonder if it is some export regulation or seller was being stupid? Perhaps you can share some photos to paint a picture of what is going on

I'm looking at the module that allows you to stop/start engine, lock/unlock doors, open/close windows and set the cabin climate control/AC via mobile phone app.

Around £250 DIY.

The AC control for the summer would be nice.
