starider
A question, can personalised reg. numbers be transfered to a Japanese import?
Oddcouple
I believe that once it’s registered it should be fine, but happy to be corrected….

As with any vanity plate, you cannot move any plate to a vehicle that is older than the plate !

Tonyp
We have put a ‘v’ reg on our 2005 with no problems..
Rojie
Hi Tony, Yes you should not have had any trouble. As V is a 1999 plate, putting the older plate on a newer (2005) vehicle is OK. As plates signify a year of manufacture; DVLA will not allow a plate that is younger than the vehicle it is destined for.
