I run my PC from my leisure battery.

Most sites have WiFi, most pubs too.

BT has a lot of open access sites, if you are a Customer.

Yep, all good and understood, but if anyone has used any of the initial post, would really appreciate any form of feedback. Probably be off grid quite a lot and just trying to work out what works best. Really don’t want any external fixtures, so ideally if anyone has used one if the internal only systems would love to hear how they worked for you!

Perhaps I missed your point, but I don't have any external fixtures.

If you go way off grid, you may need a satellite set up.

Is that what you are alluding to ? An internal satellite system ?

Rojie, I just replied to you and somehow, don’t ask how, it’s ended up in a thread called Model type?

No. There are different types of in car Wi-Fi available, some specific for vehicle, some as personal hotspots. The specific vehicle systems can have an internal or external antenna which is used to boost signal. As the units have a much larger antenna than a mobile phone, they will pick up stronger signals which you can then connect to, seems average is around 10 devices. There is a need for a data SIM which can be PAYG or contract, but it gives a much more stable platform to work from. Average 150mbps but can be much higher. Just unsure how our massive faraday cages like internal antennas, as high and open as possible would help, but possibly even locating in an open pop top? So many questions and only one brain to try to think of the answers 😆
