Mandias Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Hi all, new owner and just picked up my 07 Alphard today. Lots of stuff for me to get stuck into (not least of which language setup) but I'm really impressed with all the gadgets and toys. one thing I want to understand is the 1500W power connections I have a couple of. Does anyone know if I can somehow by an adaptor so I can get them to a USB female? Essentially for all the kids devices. thanks Rich
Mandias Posted July 2, 2022 Author Posted July 2, 2022 Stop the press - found this link on Google - although strangely it didn't turn up in the forum search. Seems different to mine though - which say 1500w?

The 100v outlets are 100w, not 1500w. The 100v outlets can be modified for USB. Keep searching, it's on here somewhere. Sad, but true, you can't change your head unit language (unless it is not OEM). You should find the purchase of a JPNZ Owners Handbook extremely useful. Try eBay. 1
Mandias Posted July 3, 2022 Author Posted July 3, 2022 Hmmm. Mine definitely say 1500w. Is it the same thing? Apologies if I'm being stupid.

I have no experience with these later vehicles. Despite what it says, I wouldn't try to pull 1500 watts If P equals I times V, that Power, Current, Volts. Then I equals P/V. 1500 watts is 15 amps. Where is that 15 amps coming from ? I guess it can only be coming from your Hybrid battery ! Proceed with care. Earlier Alphards/Vellfires do have 100w 100V outlets as noted by the photo above.
