Hi, thought this may be handy for those looking to remove their Japanese aftermarket head units and whatever else might be installed.

My system removed and layed out for for info.

Addzest Head unit (Clarion)

Sanyo CD changer mounted under passenger seat and dash remote control system

FM stereo modulator (?) behind head unit

Panasonic DTV tuner (with r/c) was mounted in passenger footwell with receivers either side at top of windscreen.

Addzest expand TV Tuner

Inverter under passenger seat

Toll card signal box mounted behind rear view mirror.

Loads of cables and wires which once identified can be removed and allow the identification of the original loom connectors redundant or otherwise.

The one thing that makes everything easier is how the trim comes apart, very straightforward with proper trim tools.

I’ve fitted a Pioneer SPH-DA160DAB with steering control kit to our fairly standard Series 10.

Cheers

Stew
