The value tends to be between 100 and 200 euros.

 

Unless goods are shipped through a HMRC authorised 'channel'(i.e. tax collector)  payment is often required before delivery.

Through the authorised channel, my goods are delivered and then I receive a separate tax bill from the importer.

 

So, don't be surprised if the goods ultimately cost more than expected.

VAT is levied on shipping costs too.

 

VAT is normally charged by ebay when necessary; so there should not be surprises there.

Yes dreaded VAT is payable from EU goods after Brexit but as I stated the goods I bought from JAPAN incurred no customs fee or EXTRA VAT. price I paid for goods and shipping costs (£125) were all I incurred. I checked UK customs and VAT status before I made purchase and I would advise anyone else thinking of purchasing from outside the UK to do the same to save shock of any extras added.

Oh well that's typical! When I looked the other day they showed as out of stock

Ok, the shift lock buttons arrived a couple of weeks ago! I have 10 and will keep a couple spare for myself but if anyone wants one, I reckon £4 plus whatever delivery comes to (I can send through work so it's normally discounted rates with royal mail etc) - shout up if anyone wants one
