Teekay Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 My Vellfire has arrived with air filter looking like this...completely dusty and clogged. It's hard to believe this is level of Japanese car maintenance. It is not cheap purchase and top spec Vellfire. I think one has to have lower expectations guys. Sharing my experience

Sharing my experience Normally your importing dealer would change these and you would never be the wiser. I am assuming you imported this Vellie yourself.

Might even sell them online later. I'm wondering if Toyota C-HR alloys will fit Vellfires considering it is same size, my guess is they should be interchangeable. I'm sure some members would have done something like this but responses often seen limited Edited October 7, 2022 by Teekay

Teekay Posted October 7, 2022 Author Posted October 7, 2022 It's possible during the last 2-3 years the maintenance schedule might have slipped due to pandemic

Someone (seller / auction / yard?) ripped all paperwork from car, left only one car key, no lug nut key for special 19 inch alloys, even the remote control for TV is not there. My guess is it was the 2nd owner who didn't look after it. First owner driven minimal Miles in first 9-10 years. 2nd owner took it just over 100K kms. Engine bay is immaculate but air filter dusty? Lol Need to sort 2nd key, called few Timsons and ask saying they won't do it as it can mess up ignition?? Edited October 7, 2022 by Teekay Typo

Thanks anyway Rojie 👍 I hope it is not a dead end task! I can buy used car key online with virgin blade. Need to do some reading, there must be at least few posts on the topic. I wonder if Toyota UK can help with it.

Try reading Chris.ac There is a lot to read but he is very knowledgeable on Gen 2 and electrics. 1
Chris.ac Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Teekay, if you own a Windows laptop, your cheapest option really is to buy a fob/blank key, and a copy of techstream with a vci dongle. The fob takes less than 5 minutes to program, add long as you have one working fob, getting the blank cut - some timpsons will do it, or other independents. 1

I can get blank 5 key fob for 70 and cut programmed for 60. Hard to beat with getting software finding willing key cutter and spending time figuring it.i would enjoy learning it but don't want to mess up
