Just joined today so thought I’d say hello, we’re looking at getting an Alphard pop top conversion for days out etc, we’ve located a very nice one, it’s  a 2006 3.0 V6 with 47k miles at a dealer who imports and converts them to mini campers, looking forward to picking it up it in a month or so.

Hello Rojie and thanks, yes my good lady is part owner, we did the NC500 a few years ago in our old Land Rover but looking forward to visiting some favourite spots and lots more.

Wee update, decided against the 3.0 v6 2006 and tracked down a nice low mileage 2.4 2010, will update with more details soon

still patiently waiting for an update on delivery!

 

Do you or any of the other members know if the ANH20- 2.4 engine has a timing belt or chain?

Gen 1 V6 (until 2008) has a belt; the later Gen 2 V6 has a chain, I believe.

All the 2.4 engines are in-line fours.

 

The V6s are 3.0 litre and 3.5 litre

Wee update, after a longer than expected delay Alf arrived late this afternoon, bit too dark to see everything today but it looks pretty good, will post up more info when I can.
