Anybody know what these are for?

I can’t work out if they are for an awning or a roof rack. Either way I’d like to know please.

They are on the roof of my 2007 Alphard 2.4 petrol. Still haven’t had a reply.   Can’t believe I’ve stumped you guys so must be a really dumb question!  Sorry but I’d still like to know.

I would have thought if this rail is fitted to both sides of the roof, they would surely have been for a 'factors' roof rack support?

Hi Lee, Thanks for your thoughts.  I wonder what awning would fit that type of rail and at the jaunty angle it would be at when the roof is up.   I don't expect you to know the answer to that - and I'd be really impressed if you did!

Hi Larry, When you say 'Factors' roof rack do you mean "homemade" or just roof rack specific?

In this case 'Factors' roof rack would mean to me as a part that was not designed and manufactured by the originator of the part, in this case Toyota.
