New spare key sorted for less than £50

  • Blank key £12 from www.aliexpress.com (same as the £20 ones on ebay) took 2 weeks to arrive
  • J2534 Mini VCI Cable for Toyota with Techstream OBD2 Diagnostic £26 from ebay
  • Key cut and tested from the Dixons centre in Norwich £5.50 - quality service
  • Lots of googling and youtubing
  • Plug lead into laptop, start techstream software, start car, plug lead into car, use software
  • Spare key sorted

That's very interesting Terry, but can you give me a clue what chip I would need for a 2002 2.4 Petrol Alphard. Don't really want to start taking my one and only key to pieces to investigate. Thanks, Dave.

I did mine without pluging into a computer?! 
 

I got key on eBay for I guess £20, got it cut and did the process that the guy on eBay said. No computer involved?
