Has anyone had any luck getting Dr Prius app talking to their Alphard hybrid via a Bluetooth OBD2 adaptor?

Cant seem to make it work at all, but it might not work with Alphards.

Works fine with my auris hybrid.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I contacted the author of the app because it wasn’t showing the correct readings for the battery cells. I don’t think the app supports JDM cards. When I use the app it looks like this. The number of cells are wrong and so are the voltages, though they do seem to change as I drive.

Has anyone tried hybrid assistant app (android)

Hi; Chris I am in the progress of trying this app, I got it to connect to my OBD but I was not driving and it only showed Aux battery level. Came up with message "waiting for car" in the "connecting" window. I will take the Alphie on a test drive tomorrow with it connected to see if any other readings show and will report back any findings

I had a go but didn't have much luck, seemed to not connect very well.

Hi Adam; I have alphard hybrid 2005 and I am a gadget warrior 😁  if you have had other OBD's in your phone or device make sure the app is looking at the right one. Plug your OBD in and put vehicle in on mode without starting engine then start app. That's what I did to get it to connect.

That’s fabulous- I’ll give that a go- thanks!

I have been in touch with Jack from the Prius app, and he was keen to help find a way of connecting. Suggested I downloaded another app to work out the obd2 commands.
Havent had a chance to do it yet though!

Well my first results have not been too impressive, "waiting for car" on the connecting button does not change even when driving.

I bought a genuine bluetooth adapter and it works a lot better with Torque Pro. From what I have read on most subjects on this matter the Prius seems to

be the choice of most of these adapters, however I am not a quitter, I intend to research further, stay tuned 😁
