Alasdair Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 This rocker button on the right side of the steering wheel on the dashboard comes on when the headlights are turned on. Turning this off or on doesn't seem to do anything related to the lights. Any ideas?
atlanticcobra2023 Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 That is fog light button in mine so I suggest turning lights on and go check if fog light on
Alasdair Posted April 11, 2023 Author Posted April 11, 2023 I tried that but I have a separate buttons for front and rear fogs

Sorry only thing I could suggest 1
Alasdair Posted April 12, 2023 Author Posted April 12, 2023 Completely agree there has to be a relation to it...and could simply be just an illumination. 👍
atlanticcobra2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 This might be a silly question, but looking at your pic I dont see the power socket button like I have near the door buttons. Do you have a AC button somewhere else? if not could it be the AC power on/off button?
Alasdair Posted April 12, 2023 Author Posted April 12, 2023 I'll check that out this morning.....never thought of that either
DaiWil Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Identical to the one I have. Imported Jap Alphards don't have a rear fog light and importers must add a rear fog light prior to registering the vehicle in the UK. Try switching headlights on and then switch on this toggle switch and look at your tail lights (the offside light should be much brighter). I think the switch you say you already have is the one operated via the lever on the steering column, which has the option of daytime lights (not really fog lights). 1
Alasdair Posted April 12, 2023 Author Posted April 12, 2023 I'll check that more closely today thank you

Sorry only thing I could suggest I have a 2008 Vellfire. Mine has one that is a rear fog light! John Harrison. WALLASEY
Alasdair Posted April 13, 2023 Author Posted April 13, 2023 It is indeed the single rear fog light that's been added by the dealer.
