You can buy them on ebay. You need the key that includes the 4D67 chip. Buy two, they are cheap enough You will almost certainly need and auto locksmith to programme it. They will probably need your master key to do it.
Graham Albert Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Graham Revill, here. Thanks for that I have the same issue. Only one key. I understand Timsons at Braehead Paisley can do it.
the man Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I'd recommend Martyn at https://www.autolockmaster.co.uk/ He supplied a duplicate key for our Alphard with all the functionality of the original.
Graham Albert Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Hmm, Timsons don't do imports generally. Toyota appear not to be able to, at least on the west coast of Scotland. Thanks to Pete anyway.

Thanks to Pete anyway. Timpsons will supply and cut their own chip key but it is not a ‘smart’ key ie it will open the doors and start the ignition but does not have the ‘remote’ buttons. Company policy prevents them from cutting third party supplied ‘smart’ keys such as those obtained through Ebay.

But the smart key fobs on the Gen 1 are only for door locks; they won't start the car. Furthermore, if 'their own chip' does not have the 4D67 chip, it won't operate the demobiliser ! I used a local automotive locksmith.

I used a local automotive locksmith. I think it all depends on the branch you go to - 2 years ago Timpsons in West Kirby Wirral cut me a key from their stock for £65. It operates the ignition and immobiliser so must contain the 4D67 chip but it is not a ‘folding’ key. I can only suggest forum members enquire of their local stores to see if they can help.
Graham Albert Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Thanks everyone for replying to this. I have tried 3 Timpsons branches now and none will do this. There is a local 'Locdoc' who is to get back to me and Calders (the campervan dealers) have said they use Cheap Car Keys Scotland for all their keys and I am waiting for a reply from them. I probably should have gone back to Calders first! Thanks again. Graham
pipsyp Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Any auto locksmith worth their salt really should be able to source a key and (at very least) code it to the immobilizer. If you want genuine keys, you could try getting one from a local Toyota dealer, or from abroad like Anamaya or PartSouq (they aren't actually that ridiculously expensive) with a view to getting it cut and coded by someone. For what it's worth, syncing the key RF remote to the vehicle is a DIY job, it's just the transponder coding that's a bit more involved. Again with the knowhow, you can buy a copy of Toyota Techstream (the dealer level software) and cable from eBay pretty cheap and do it yourself, but a level of knowledge is involved (and I guess it could prove a touch risky if done incorrectly).

If have three keys and three smart fobs. None have a folding key
