Intermittent starting problem

Recommended Posts

Hi, My names Ted Wilkins, I've owned a 2003 2.4 Toyota Alphard for 5 years and it runs like a dream except

very occasionally after I've been driving I stop to shop or something and when I go to start again all dash lights go out & when I turn the key, nothing.

If I wait for about 10 minutes it starts OK. This might not happen again for weeks, then off it goes again. Any idea's please!

At a guess I would say starter

If you can put a wire from the starter solenoid (small wire) to a bulb and earth the other side of the bulb,

Rout cable into car and when it happens again and if the light glows you can say the starter is going
