Hello, I've recently purchased and Alphard and it's been great, however, the check engine light kept coming on intermittently after driving for a while. The seller came and checked it out and I've been told that the speed sensor on my Alphard is faulty.

I've been sent the part, but I'm having trouble finding a garage to fit it. A few have said "nah we don't touch imports."

Is it difficult to replace one by yourself or is it quite involved? I can't find much info about it.

Also, is this a common predicament anyone else faces? Going to garages in the UK but not getting a lot of help? Is kind of worrying for the future.
