BeeeBeee Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Hi, seems the Alphard Hybrid is one of the most popular models for catalytic converter theft...can anyone advise me on the best anti theft system to fit? Thank you 1
Hybrid_Bristol Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 I also have the same question. Has anyone got any recommendations for a cat lock for an Alphard Hybrid please. I contacted Toyota locally to me and they said one hadn’t been made for this model, but I understand there are alternatives. Thanks for any advice.
Geralt Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Catloc is Sold Secure Gold rated. The only snag is that they don't have a model specific for the Alphard. They do a couple of generic models but you'll need to measure up and check that there's some anchor points. https://catloc.co.uk/shop/?wpce_search=1334&post_type=product When I get round to measuring mine, I'll publish the dimensions. 1
Teekay Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 I thought Alphard having very little ground clearance (160 mm?) is immune to catalytic convertor theft. Is that not the case? Does 3.5l v6 or hybrids, at their cats same? Or one is more precious?

That tends to lower the car considerably. Depending on the rear valance fitted, the rear clearance can be much more. As the cats are resold for quite large sums, a jack would do the trick ! 1

On second thought might be best to secure it 👍
