Hi all, in the market for an Alphard and have one relatively local, the spec I'm after however high mileage at 221k. It's within budget, and MOT history looks clean.

Does high mileage scare you off? Anything I should be looking out for?

Thanks all

I believe for this mileage you will need to have some extra cash in reserve, just in case. You may be able to get another 100k from this engine itself.

Things to look for, engine and rust. Test drive it properly for more than 20 minutes on good roads and see if anything is falling apart 🙂

Personally I would add this extra cash to the budget and get the one with the lower mileage. Combination of latest year and lowest mileage as possible, especially if this is not a fresh import.

Many thanks, stretched the budget a bit and picked up a 2002 FWD V6. Few niggles, but will post in another section.

Thanks for your help :)
