Hello Phil,

Welcome to the Forum.

This topic is covered within the forum; tends to be on old vehicles with a 4 speed gearbox.

Lot's of reading for you to do !

Availability of fuel (especially the further you travel into the south west), and lack of a spare wheel, seem to be the main issues.

Had my Vellfire converted over a year ago and no issues. Its the 3.5V6 so had 3 new Coil Packs and a full set of Iridium Spark Plugs whilst the rear bank was accessible. Also had Valve Lube fitted.

Swaps from petrol to gas with no hesitation.

Conversion was by Profess LPG Ltd in Pontypool.

Funny to say i was fully certified lpg technician and toyota was on the list of cars to try avoid fitting system to it hence they do ceramic hardening on valves but that was a while ago and since lubrication system was introduced and ideally direct injection would be the best option yet cost out weights the gains as who drives their bus 20k miles a year ? So my 3.5v6 4x4 staying with petrol only.
