I just bought a 2019 Vellfire with modellista body kit. It currently has 21" mavericks on it. I was thinking about switching them out for smaller wheels to improve ride quality and road noise. I'm kinda worried about ground clearance though. Does anyone know if this is possible / a bad idea? What kinds of wheels does the vellfire have factory default? Does the modellista body kit lower ground clearance from standard vellfires?

Hello Chris,

Welcome to the Forum.

There are websites that allow you to plan wheel / tyre combinations.

It is important to maintain the rolling circumference to almost the same as OEM; whatever that is/was in your case.

Certainly, smaller diameter wheels fitted with higher profile tyres should be a distinct possibility.

What size tyres do you have fitted currently ?

Thank you.

I am hoping an owner of th same as your vehicle will advise us what the standard size(s) are.

What is your model number ?

AHW 30 etc ?

It should be on your near side B pillar.

OK, Thanks,

I found a bunch of data yesterday, but was unsure which model you had.

Try Wheel-Size.com.

You should be able deduce the 'sensible' options that suit your vehicle.

Hope so. If not, let me know.

Good Luck.

Thanks Rojie!

For others, I found the following information:

https://www.wheel-size.com/size/toyota/vellfire/2019/#trim-ii-ah30-facelift-2018-2024-25-daa-ayh30w--150

215/65 R16

225/60 R17

https://www.modellista.co.jp/en/product/vellfire/selection/

235/45 R20

https://www.toyota.com.sg/showroom/new-models/alphard

Alphard brouchure says 17" rims

Vellfire brouchure says 235 / 50 R18
