Looking at buying an Alphard to replace my hiace. Not to worried about MPG but what would the hybrid get?

Cheers

I get 35 - 40 mpg on mine, I am happy.  I keep to limits,  but put my foot down on dual arriageways, but under 80. I had a brand new Inverter fitted (£5,200.) Eye watering I know 5 months ago, imported from Japan. But Alfie runs really well now.

Recent journey (London to Yorkshire and back with a far bit of driving in town and on hills): 32mpg

Coasting around on the motorway though (65-70mph) and taking it easy on the acceleration elsewhere.

(alphard hybrid 2006)

I have 2003 hybrid with 80k miles showing on the clock. Driving sensibly it easily exceeds 30 mpg and on a long run 40 mpg, short runs and hilly terrain will impact on this just as it does on non hybrid vehicles.
