JP01 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Hi, I have an a hybrid that has been sitting idle from Nov last year. I have charged the 12v Aux battery. It now will turn over, When you try to start it the ready light flashes but the egine does not attempt to turn over. The indication on teh head unit show one bar for the Hydrid battery charge. Is this enough to start it? Or is there something I have missed? Your thoughts would be much appreciated. John.

JP01 Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 Update ... Today it started first try. Left it idling and now teh Hybrid battery shows 3 bars. But now it will not respond to the throttle.
Alphie Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Do you mean it wont move off when in drive? because I don't think they do respond to the throttle like a normal car when in neutral ie you can't rev the engine when in park/neutral.
Mike 138 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 The hybrid vehicles have computer controlled throttles so you can't rev them like normal cable operated throttles.
Picasso Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Fly by wire throttles you will have a sensor on peddle and a sensor on throttle
JP01 Posted February 6 Author Posted February 6 Hi, Thanks for the replies, Thewhen in drive the and you try accelerate the engine revs do increase and the car does not move. Could it be the throtle position sensor needs to rlearn or be replaced? Regards john.
Michael Brown Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Having my Inverter replaced was the best thing I had done . I have had no trouble with Alfie since. Like its had a new heart transplant. Just got to pay monthly for it over the next few years. Worth every penny of £5,200. imported from Japan including VAT & delivery
Picasso Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Google. Just jap imports coventry. This guy is a importer nice bloke he used to rebuild hybrid battery's and inverters he might beable to tell you what's wrong
