Hey guys,

I am a new owner of a 2002 3ltr Alphard and unfortunately it has a small oil leak. On first inspection it seems to be around the rim of the pan. Have any of you had similer and is it a standard job or a nause. Any info will help. Thanks.

Hello Keiron,

Welcome to the Forum.

Engine oil pan, or auto transmission pan ?

Whether you bought it from Topsham Car Sales or not, you could ask Joseph for an opinion.

Apologies,

Its the enginge oil pan, I have had a closer look and there is a bolt missing so I have ordered one from Toyota in Marsh barton.

So Joseph has experience with this sort of thing?

Thanks for the steer if so.

Joseph is an importer of many years.

I believe there is a workshop adjacent to his Sales area.

You should find that Snows (of Plymouth, Torbay and Exeter) will work on your van, although most Main Dealers won't!

Replacing the bolt may not be enough.

The pan may need removing and the gasket, assuming there is one, replacing.

Imho, not an expensive job for Snows.

Good Luck
