Hello,

Just after some advice on a 2007 Alphard I am looking at purchasing please. The car looks to be in very good condition, it has done 75,000 miles and a CarVX report confirms the auction report was a grade 4B, no other issues. It all looks good but there is nagging doubt on my part at some signs of useage, particularky on the buttons, seat and pedal. The seat has a tear in (which the seller has not included in the photo, but is on the side of the photo below). The A/C buttons have some visible wear, as does the 'mirror' button and the brake pedal.

Please can I ask for opinions as to whether this wear is inconsistent with the mileage of 75K ? (Or am I being too fussy! :)  )  I have looked at comparable cars and most do not have this wear at that mileage ?

It’s just normal wear and tear. The car is after all 17 years old. You’ve done all your homework make your purchase and enjoy. They are fantastic cars.

My 2007 Alphard has similar wear symptoms at 60k, particularly with the blower control and so I wouldn’t be unduly worried about it.

Mines an 07 done approaching 82k now.  It was imported as a Grade 4 in 2021 with around 62k miles on the clock by it's previous keeper and has the things you describe....no teared seat (I have full alcantara) but the mirror switch and AC unit shows some wear (my mirror switch barely has the mirror fold graphics on it now), also the graphics on the indicator stalk.  The leather on my steering wheel is also a bit rough.

They are solid old things but certainly elements of the trim do show some wear and can confirm it's quite normal.

Sagging headliners are also a thing, though most of mines been cut out to make way for a pop top.

Sorry actually technically it's an early 08 (57 plate)!

Mine is an 05, and also has exactly the same wear on the same buttons. I got it with 58k on the clock 3 years ago, and now on 90k and the wear hasn't increased.
