Smartlock / Keyfob locking failure

Good day all ,

does anyone know the procedure to reset the keyfob and smartlock central locking feature ?

My smartlock fob and one of my keyfobs have just stopped operating the locking system  , although

the keyfob still starts the vehicle .

Any info. gratefully received .

Welcome to the Forum.

 

I would start by renewing the battery in the Smart Fob (which won't start the van).

 

A dud battery in the ignition fob will not prevent the vehicle starting, but will affect the locks.

If a new battery is ineffective, you may need to get the key reprogrammed.

Imho, a auto locksmith is the way to go, but I have seen a process on this Forum, possibly with mixed results

 

Change them one at a time, not together to minimise mishaps.

Thanks , I'll give it  a try although the smartlock fob battery is good.

The issue has appeared just after having a new keyfob(which works fine) cut and programmed ???

Coincidence????
