Good Morning.

My 2007 plate 2.4 Hybrid has a camera / Sonar issue.

wWhen engaging in to reverse gear the rear camera is not showing on my original head into display as it once did. Black screen only.

Also the rear parking sensors have stopped beeping.

Would anyone have any clues as to possible reasons?

Are they linked in some way?

Where is the fuse located for these for example so I can change them?

Have I pressed something I should not have on my non English display that I can’t understand? 😂

Grateful for any advise.

Is the reversing light in the rear cluster coming on when in R? If not, it suggests the switch which detects reverse gear selection is faulty.

Hi,

Yes the reverse light is coming on

fine.

The camera got water inside, it started

to dry out and then stopped working.

However I then noticed the rear sonar was not beeping when close to objects also.

Any direction and advice would be welcomed.

Have you inadvertently swtched off the sonar?

I don’t think so. The button is on, on the dash and the lights are on. Yet the closer I get to vehicles etc it’s nots beeping.

Was guessing it could be linked in with the camera power as that isn’t working. So effectively both aren’t working.

I think sonar works all the time, front and back, so shouldn't be related to reverse gear. Get someone to stand next to one of the sensors to test.
