Hi everyone,

I'm having some trouble with my Toyota Alphard 2011 3.5, 4WD. It's throwing up the fault code C1298, which seems to be related to the 4WD Linear Solenoid.

I've been searching online, but most of the information I can find is for the RAV4 and doesn't provide detailed diagrams or schematics for the Alphard.

Has anyone else encountered this issue with their Alphard? If so, could you please share your experience and any advice on how to resolve it?

I have searched the forum but no previous posts came back for this particular issue. Any technical information or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

On the Rav4 what often happens is the wiring corrodes right where it plugs into the diff.

Its just a solenoid, so you can use a bulb to test it if works, and you can check the resistance of the solenoid in the diff with a multimeter, I'd guess it'd be about 1 to 5 ohms.
