Please save hours looking for the !6pin DLC on my 2007 Alphard. Many thanks.

Usually by the brake pedal.

Thanks to both of you for your help.I hope to find out why the engine light comes on after driving for a bit, after switching of and re-starting the light goes off again.I suspect the front Lampda sensor needs replacing. Will post the results of my diagnosis.

2.4 have have 2 sensors  one at the top is the fuel ratio sensor most call it a lambda sensor it's not common mistake alleyways replace with correct sensor rear one is a lambda sensor if you need the part no. Pm your reg no. 

My understanding is that air-fuel ratio and lambda are the same thing expressed differently. AFR of 14.7:1 is the same as saying Lambda = 1. The sensor upstream of the cat allows the engine ECU to adjust the fuel mass to the current incoming air mass. The downstream sensor is there to measure the performance of the cat. Both sensors measure oxygen. The engine will run happily without the downstream sensor (in principle) because it is not used to adjust fuel mass, only for diagnosis purposes.
