Spencerly Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Hi, I'm not yet an owner of an Alphard or Vellfire, I hope to be changing that to 'owner' early next year. In the meantime I'm gathering what knowledge I can of the vehicles and reading the forum here helps with that. There is one thing that is a bit disconcerting and that is which dealers are considered good to buy from. It's not a worry only applicable to JDM imports it is obviously a long standing concern in the purchase of any vehicle but perhaps a bit more so when purchasing an import and wanting to ensure that the dealer is being fair in the presentation and pricing. That being so I am wondering if any of the owners here can recommend dealers who have demonstrated good practice in their sales and aftercare when necessary. Thanks for any assistance you can offer. Regards, Bernie
PaulS_ Posted October 22 Posted October 22 It's a great question. I thought long and hard about what to buy and from where - it took me about 6 months to find the right mix of vehicle, mileage, price, and reputation of the dealer. I bought earlier this year from Lakeview - here's their Toyota stock on eBay. I went in thinking "Over 1000 reviews with an average 100% ranking, they can't be that bad" and sure enough, the vehicle was absolutely spotless (including engine and underside), and 6 months in, all has been well. Obviously everyone will have different views of good and bad dealers - but definitely take your time, have a good look around first, and don't be afraid to walk away.

PaulE Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Hi, I purchased mine from Dave at Vineplace Motors near Durham. Very good sales service as he doesn't hurry you and gives you all the info.
