Completely Unlocked and remapped

I have 2 questions:  

 

1)  I have a  3.5L V6 automatic AWD. 

I want to know if I have the ecu completely unlocked and remapped,

What is the maximum horse power anyone has been able to achieve from their Alphard ? ?

 

2)  What aftermarket superchargers have people added to their Alphards for maximum streetable horsepower ? ?

Welcome to the Forum.

 

I have not heard of any Alphard owners with superchargers.

Alphards offer a limousine ride, not a hot-rod one.

 

Superchargers were fitted to (a few) Toyota race engines of a time frame earlier than your engine.

Superchargers, and I have one on one of my vehicles, run a low compression ratio (to counteract the increased combustion pressures/boost).

Sourcing those special pistons, and induction manifold(s) even for the earlier models, would be quite a challenge.

Maybe those engines use different rods too.

 

Me ? Respectfully, I would move on from your idea.

 

Were you to manage to fit a supercharger, you WILL need to revamp all your suspension and transmission too.

 

 

ps. Superchargers generally flatten and increase the torque curve, in some cases massively.

Although they do boost the horsepower, it is the increase in (low down) torque that is most noticeable.

Respectfully this company makes a supercharger specifically for the Alphard:

I have also found 4 other companies that make Alphard specific superchargers.   For even the most modern Alphards. 

 

That is why I was asking what people have used . . . . . If there are multiple companies making Alphard specific superchargers than there must be a market for it.

 

And just because a car has a supercharger does not mean that it is a hotrod.  Many normal everyday cars that are peoples everyday drivers to go to the shops have superchargers.

I started to do some research on these superchargers despite, what I believe, will be very limited interest from (UK) owners (even excluding the cost of parts).

 

Most of the kits I found were of 2015 ilk, or so.

Possibly of use to you, but maybe not with your much more recent power plant.

 

During a very quick search, none that I found, seem to offer alternate pistons to produce a lower (non-boosted) compression ratio.

I guess with present day electronics pre-ignition could be avoided.

 

We all know that Alphies and Vellfires are very popular in Japan, and there must be many 'customizers'. (Check Amayama).

I am sure HKS are a very competent and reputable producer; but what I did notice (in the HKS literature) is Toyota will not work on modified cars, and I expect after-market modification will invalidate all warranty claims; possibly important to you with such a recently made vehicle.

 

As I say, I have a factory supercharger fitted to one of my vehicles.

It transforms the car from a limousine to a racer by simple use of the right toe.

It also has Brembo brakes, very wide tyres, rear wheel drive, a limited slip differential, uprated suspension all round and is low to the ground.

It runs about 400 bhp and 400 ft/lbs stock. It is very quick when not in the usual casual limousine mode.

 

My Alphard has none of these features (but is top heavy when cornering), but still provides a very comfortable limousine experience.
