My car speed goes 60 if I go to on motorway I try go to speed 70 engine struggle and speed goes down too 60 speed I took it to gearge for repair they said speed sensor gone I told them replacement and then after 3days later the speed problem started again please can anyone give me advice too slove this problem please

Then my gearge advice me too do service twice I did service and still got problem In speed I spent lot of money in this £400 and still got speed problem.

I would get a bluetooth ODB II scaner and the free car scanner app. A lot less the £400. Run the app and driver the car with it connected. See what speed it reads. If it reads different to the speedo then you know its the speedo, if not then you know its the speed sensor. At least then you can also read all the ECU fault codes which will point you in the right direction

 

Also why would a service help the problem, like and oil and filter change will fix a sensor. It sounds like the garage you are using has seen you as an easy payday.

Hi voodoo101 thank you so much give me advice on my car toyota vellfire 2011 speed problem I have changed parts speed sensor in 1st February 2025 in birmingham gearge but still issues speed problem 2secd gearge I want he said do full service again twice he cleaned this part throttle too but still speed problem tomorrow I am going too 3rd gearge too see what he says about my car I love my toyota vellfire I brought it in 2013 June price was £10k it's very good car reliability I will post everything on Alphard club what I am going through with my car and with gearges I live in coventry I go to birmingham too fix my car I can't give my car too coventry gearges because they don't have knowledge of japanese cars in coventry
