Hi all, I picked up a Vellfire at the weekend. When driving around in D it seems to want to go to the highest gear very quickly, so it'll be chugging along at 1000rpm at 30. If I flip it to manual it sits in 5th gear about 1500rpm. Is this normal? Using the gears manually is fine, it just seems overly keen to get into a really high gear all the timem

Hello C,

Welcome to the Forum.

Have you driven automatic vehicles before ?

What you describe sounds quite normal, as long as the transmission is not juddering under excessive load and changes down when the load does increase.

Did you buy privately ?
