CharlesS Posted Tuesday at 10:16 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:16 PM Hi there, I have a 2014 Vellfire (GGH20). Recently, the battery died due to the car not being driven for a long period. After jump-starting the car, the electric side doors and tailgate started malfunctioning and could no longer be opened or closed properly. Sometimes they work fine, but then stop working, so I believe a reset is needed. I’ve tried the methods from various forums, such as turning the “pwr door off,” recycling the door, and turning the “pwr door on.” The doors work temporarily, but the problem returns after a few hours. I also tried using an OBD scanner to reset the RL and RR window motors. After doing this, the overhead door switch light came back on, and the doors worked well again, but they stopped functioning properly after a few hours. Additionally, the side mirrors' adjustment and folding function don’t always respond. Sometimes, I need to press the button for the mirrors while simultaneously flipping the window lift button to get them to respond. Does anyone have any ideas on how to reset or resolve these issues?
Chris.ac Posted Thursday at 09:49 PM Posted Thursday at 09:49 PM Check out the electrical system manual here. https://slideplayer.com/slide/10248235/ It has the reset process for Windows and doors. You have to basically put them in manual mode (the ' pwr door off' button to left of the steering wheel) and open fully then close to recalibrate the ecus. Take a read
