pcous Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Hi all, On a recent, very windy trip to the Western Isles, I had to gaffer-tape the EHU flap to the cable to stop it rattling all night. So, to avoid taping it each time in future, I was considering how to attach a limit hinge to the flap, or even whether fixing a spring tube clip to the rear of the flap, to go over the cable with a piece of plumbing pipe insulation (to protect the cable) would work. Have any innovative forum members already found a workaround to secure the open flap to the EHU cable when connected, whilst still keeping the rain protection?

smurf Posted Monday at 08:06 PM Posted Monday at 08:06 PM (edited) I'm surprised it didn't come spring loaded so it can't flap about? A quick Google search did throw up plenty of spring loaded EHU sockets, so maybe a change might be the simplest solution? Edited Monday at 08:07 PM by smurf
