Evening all, having some issues with my rear screen/display.

Just got my hands on a 2012 Vellfire G Z edition which is fantastic but having issues with DVD's. The DVD will play on the front screen but will not display a picture/mirror onto the rear screen. It will show the chapter and time elapsed but nothing else. I have the 56107 headset and 18 speaker set up. I have the remote for the rear screen but for the life of me cannot find any setting that allows the rear screen to play the video.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you.

Lurked for a little bit prior to getting my hands on one, apologies.

I'll grab one later, only have a video from when it was dark. It's all original as far as I'm aware.

Ooh. You have the Malaysian headunit that has English language.

The dual button on the rear screen allows you to have separate source between the front seats and the rear, including splitting the audio so the front 8 speakers are used for phone call, radio/music, and the rear 10 for the dvd etc.

Your interface is slightly different to mine,, but there should be an option on the headunit to select video source

It's not the head unit I have the issue with it's the rear screen, I can't get it to display the DVD.

In the image, you have it set to hdd, which is the internal harddrive that stores mp3 chips of music cds you insert into headunit

When i have insert dvd. It automatically lowered on both screens, i can use the dual option to only show it in rear, if disk is switched off it mirrors the front.

On yours the cd/dvd is greyed out which means you dont have a dvd inserted out recognised

That was just a stock photo I had from getting it imported. It does pick up the disc when inserted and even if I split it doesn't display on the rear screen.

This is all I get with a disc loaded.

I ran a 240v extension lead to the car today to test the RCA inputs with an old GameCube plugged in and again works on the front (all be it black and white), if I split I get the GameCube audio at the rear but again no picture. I am stumped.

hello! having the same issues as you, although I'm trying with the VTR function. any updates or fixes?

just an update, once I got my remote working I was able to press the front seat independent button. even with it toggled both ways, my rear screen is still showing blank.

Evening Jupiter,

Still haven't solved it unfortunately. I have a kit to allow me to run apple play and android auto so was hoping when I install that and unplug everything it might reset. Otherwise I've found no resolve unfortunately.

nor worried I'll keep you updated, a friend and I imported similar spec vellfires together and his works. going to tinker around with his as well and see if we can't figure it out.
