Hi all,

I’m looking for some advice regarding the stereo in my Vellfire. After 8 months of perfect operation the rear screen has packed up, much to the disgust of my kids.

I’ve stripped it down, cleaned it etc but have had no luck. I’ve managed to get the sound back by joining the 2 wires as some members have recommended on here, so it’s obviously the screen itself.

So far I’ve found a used screen is £500+ or a new one on Amayama is just over £2k. Research has shown these screens are problematic so I’m now thinking about changing the head unit for a UK one (car play, sat nav etc) and fit a compatible rear screen.

I’m just wondering if anyone has had any success doing this, or used a company that has done it for them? Is it even possible to install a dvd head unit which will play to a rear screen like the oem system or is this considered dated now?

I’ve contacted a few audio specialists but no one seems interested.
