I want to fit an awning rail to my Vellfire 2013. Has anyone done this? In particular I am wondering what is the best placement for the rail and whether I need to be aware and careful of any wiring in the roof that I would be drilling into.

I put a plastic C rail into the passenger side roof gutter and stuck it in with sikaflex adhesive. Had the drive away awning attached in some pretty horrific weather and that C rail never budged.

Hey Smurf, great idea to use the gutter to mount the rail. I just had a quick look and I don't quite see how I would get a good attachment. Did you use a standard C rail that has a side profile like this: ___C and did you fix it behind or in front of the gutter?

The information is all contained within that thread showing what I used, but it is attached with sikaflex 522 adhesive. It's going nowhere, even if I wanted to remove it.
