Morning,

Anyone done a water pump on their 2GR-FE?

I'm looking at some higher milage 20 series cars which may (or may not) need water pumps around 100k miles.

I see guides online for replacement, but in other chassis.

I'm comfortable with spannering and have all sorts of work under my belt (suspension, aircon, timing belts etc)

What am I up against if I need to DIY replace the pump?

Should be the same as other 2gr-fe models.

Look on YouTube for 'the car care nut', experienced Toyota tech who shows quite of lot of this type of work.

Thanks, I did see that but was after chassis-specific information. Hopefully from someone who had done it on their own 20-series.

I've replaced parts before using generic instructions from other models and clearance / order of operations can be quite different.

For example, a filler neck replacement on a ford focus means dropping the subframe on some models, but not others

Thatbe great if you can. I haven't seen a workshop manual for the AH20
